About This Lab
Led by Unit Director Anthony Jacobi, the Department of Mechanical Science and Engineering Rapid Prototyping Lab (RPL) was made possible by a substantial gift by the Ford Motor Company in 1995. The purpose of RPL is to allow students access to current manufacturing technologies in their course work, independent projects, and research. The RPL is used extensively by courses in the engineering mechanics and mechanical engineering curriculum.
