All individuals or team members must reside in the State of Illinois at the time of submission.
A person may submit more than one idea either as an individual or with a team or an organization. Each idea must be submitted separately via the application form. An individual or a team leader will not be eligible to win more than one than prize.
All team entries, must have a designated team Lead and a suggested title of the project.
We welcome entries from anyone in the state of Illinois such as community members, academics, professionals, legislators, and students of all ages. There are no educational, employment or professional requirements for the submissions.
If an individual or a team member is under the age of 18, a parent or guardian consent is required.
Finalists will be required to present at the Health Make-a-Thon virtual event, the afternoon of Saturday, April 17, 2021, via a live online presentation.
Assistance is available to those individuals or team members that become finalists to guide them through creating a presentation for the final competition. Finalists will be contacted no later than the week of March 21, 2021.
All winners will be required to review and sign a user agreement before accessing Health Maker Lab resources.
All individuals and team members retain copyright and any equivalent rights to their idea, however, if their idea is chosen as a winning idea, any use of University of Illinois resources including the Health Maker Lab to pursue their idea and solution further, may be owned by the University of Illinois as a stakeholder.
The University of Illinois and its affiliates will not be responsible for any claims or complaints from third parties about disputes of ownership regarding the ideas, images or videos included in entries or finalist presentations.
